Sharda World School celebrated its first Annual Day with great enthusiasm, grace, and grandeur under the inspiring theme “Avartanam – The Voyage Back to Where We Belong.” The evening was marked by performances, thought-provoking discussions, and the presence of eminent dignitaries who graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.

The evening began with a welcome ceremony, followed by floral greetings and the lighting of the lamp. The atmosphere resonated with a melodious welcome song and musical performance, setting a tone of inspiration and celebration.

A Message by Mr. Prashant Gupta, CEO Sharda Corporation and the Founder of Sharda World School and ELC, who emphasized the school’s vision of nurturing young minds with values, confidence, and global perspective.

The report by Mr. Satyaki Banerjee, the Head of School highlighted the milestones, achievements, and initiatives of the academic year, showcasing the school’s commitment to holistic education and innovation. The event then witnessed a heartwarming performance by the Pre-Nursery students of ELC, whose delightful presentation drew admiration from all present.

The highlight of the evening was the grand Annual Day Dance Drama – “Avartanam”, a spectacular production that beautifully intertwined music, dance, and emotion. The story followed a group of students participating in an international exchange programme, journeying across eight nations from India to the USA, South Africa, China, Egypt, Argentina, Italy, and the UK — before returning to India. Through their travels, they explored diverse cultures and values, only to realize that what they had been searching for across the world already existed within their own roots. With powerful choreography, evocative narration, and mesmerizing visuals, the students portrayed themes of unity, compassion, and self-realization. The performance received thunderous applause and heartfelt appreciation, standing as a testament to their creativity, dedication, and artistic excellence.

Following her address was a Prize Distribution Ceremony, celebrating the outstanding performances and achievements of students in academics, sports, and co-curricular fields.

The Message by Advisor Dr. Garima Yadav added further insight into the school’s vision and mission. The evening also featured the release of the school’s annual publication- Threads of Imagination: A Collection of Young Voices and Imprints of Innocence- Stories, strokes, and dreams from young hearts, celebrating the creativity and achievements of the students. Adding intellectual depth to the celebration.

The event took an inspiring turn with Sharda Open Talks, themed “Parenting and Women Entrepreneurship.” The session featured Ms. Gul Panag, acclaimed actor, model, and social entrepreneur, in a thought-provoking conversation with Ms. Nidhi Panwar, Founder of Early Brain Magic. Their engaging dialogue delved into the nuances of parenting and women entrepreneurship, highlighting the balance between ambition, empathy, and empowerment.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, parents, and contributors, followed by a delightful Dinner that brought the memorable evening to a close.
