Sharda World School recently commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with an event dedicated to honoring the valor and sacrifice of the Indian Army. The program was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the School Principal Dr. Shiv Kumar Tiwari, Cambridge Principal Ms. Aarti Khurana, and Vice Principal Ms. Neena Rathore.
The event commenced with a warm welcome for all the dignitaries, setting a tone of respect and gratitude. Following the welcome, students performed a heartfelt group song, "Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo," evoking a sense of national pride and remembrance.
The cultural segment continued with an energetic and patriotic group dance to the song "Jai Ho." Students showcased their enthusiasm and teamwork through intricate pyramid formations, symbolizing the strength and unity of the nation.
Avika Tiwari, a Grade 9 student, then delivered a Hindi speech, highlighting the history and significance of the Kargil War in Indian history. Her words resonated deeply with the audience, reminding everyone of the bravery and dedication of the soldiers. Adding a touch of innocence and devotion, a Grade 1 student performed a solo rendition of "Mera Desh Mera Watan," captivating the audience with her melodious voice and heartfelt emotions.
The event concluded with a speech by Cambridge principal Ms. Aarti Khurana. She emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices made by the soldiers, inspiring students to cultivate a sense of patriotism and responsibility towards their country.
