Sharda World School, under the aegis of the Association of Progressive Schools of Agra (APSA), proudly hosted the Creative and Decorative Handwriting Competition on 10th October 2024. This event, part of the APSA Literary and Cultural Fiesta 2024, celebrated the exceptional literary and artistic talents of students from schools across Agra.

The competition drew participants in three categories—Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior—welcoming 23 schools and over 250 students. These young artists showcased not only their remarkable handwriting skills but also their creativity and precision.

Distinguished guests graced the event, including Dr. Sushil Gupta (President of APSA), Dr. G.S. Rana (Vice President, CBSE), Dr. Gridhar Sharma (Secretary of APSA), and Colonel Apoorv Tyagi. The panel of judges comprised renowned experts in handwriting and the arts: Ms. Shikha Gautam, a calligraphy expert; Ms. Vineeta Mittal, a decorated figure in education and the arts; and Ms. Archana Kukreja, a specialist in fine arts from the Bengal School of Arts.

The day began with participant registration at 8:30 a.m. The high standard of talent on display reflected the vibrant artistic culture fostered within APSA schools. Alongside the competition, a cultural program was organized for judges and teachers, featuring a ceremonial lamp lighting, a welcome song, and traditional dance performances, showcasing the school’s rich heritage.

The winners in the Senior Category included Symboyzia School, Agra, securing first place, followed by All Saints School (Shamshabad) in second and Gayatri Public School (Unit 1) in third. Consolation prizes were awarded to Symboyzia School and Colonel’s Brightland Public School. In the Junior Category, All Saints School (Shamshabad) took first place, with C.F.
