On October 23, 2024, the students of Sharda World School embarked on a heartwarming initiative, visiting Surkuti, Runakta, and Ramlal Old Age Home. The aim of this visit was to spread love, happiness, and a sense of connection to individuals. The students’ efforts brought smiles, creating moments of shared joy and warmth, reminding everyone of the power of kindness and compassion.

Guided by their teachers, Ms. Vandana Kakkar and Ms. Sonika Dhawan, the students extended heartfelt Diwali wishes and distributed essential daily-use items as tokens of care. These included necessities and food, which the children distributed with love and respect.

At Surkuti, the students interacted with residents, gaining insights into their daily routines and learning about Braille, the script used by visually impaired individuals. The children and residents engaged in playful activities, creating an atmosphere of joy and inclusion. Enthusiasm was contagious as everyone participated in the games, fostering shared happiness.

At Ramlal Old Age Home, the children respectfully met the elderly, listening to their heartfelt stories of abandonment by their families. Offering comfort and sharing their emotions, the children forged bonds of care and compassion. They sought the blessings of the elderly by touching their feet and distributing gifts with love.

This act of kindness left the students uplifted and inspired. The service activity, conducted with great teamwork and enthusiasm, emphasized the importance of empathy and community service, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.

The excursion was organized under the guidance of the school’s advisor, Dr. Garima Yadav, Principal Dr. Shivkumar Tiwari, Cambridge Principal Ms. Aarti Khurana, and Vice Principal Ms. Neena Rathore.
